2000 Mini Cooper Limited Edition 40 S Works

This is a very special limited edition model Mini – one of the very few – believed less than 50 – Cooper-modified Limited Edition 40 models and bears the appropriate John Cooper S Works commission plate. It was supplied new in Jersey, by local Rover agent St Helier Garages, in March 2000. It has covered a limited mileage in the island, with a dealer-stamped service history up to 2016 (26,579 miles) after which, it was stored for a while and subsequently underwent some refurbishment work to return it to its current pristine condition. The limited edition was available in just one colour scheme - Brooklands Green with roof and bonnet stripes in Old English White. They were fitted with 13” alloy wheels; flared wheelarches; additional spotlamps; John Cooper signature badges and a bespoke interior. Of these cars, a number were further upgraded by John Cooper Garages to ‘S Works’ specification, which most notably boosted engine output to a claimed 90 bhp – making them the most powerful Coopers made. It has an exclusive and luxurious interior, allied to that useful power upgrade. This is a genuine low mileage car which is in excellent all-round condition. It is supplied with original handbook and service record, which carries a John Cooper Garages supplier’s stamp and the rear window carries a John Cooper Garages supplier’s decal.
